Architects Pacific have done and completed multiple masterplanning and design concepts for developers in China. This ‘residential community’ was one of the most successful with a real resonance with peoples need for space, access to amenities, safety and immersion into the natural environment. The client really wanted an architecture that would attract, not only the residents of the eco village but also of Zhongshan as a whole. The street frontage, circulation and access was therefore very important when considering how to attract the public and at the same time separate the public and private entries into the residential areas.

The architecture was very interesting as it is now desirable in China for buildings to represent European form and lifestyles. Therefore the client wanted us to create something that was truly European in form but still had that modern and sophisticated edge intertwined within it.
