The Holiday Inn, formerly known as Le Meridien, in Port Vila, Vanuatu was originally constructed in the 1970‘s. Architects Pacific undertook a major upgrade to the hotel in 1995, when the now iconic central building was inserted between the existing room blocks. The first over water bures in Vanuatu were another cornerstone of the 1995 upgrade. Architects Pacific were subsequently asked to work on the next major upgrade in 2010/2011, with extensive renovations to the main restaurant, pool areas and guest rooms. The addition of a fitness centre and a new poolside dining area have been particularly successful in modernising the resort.
